Max-Gear is a tough auto gear oil and is known for its legendary properties. For example, it is used by supercar manufacturers Pagani and Gumpert. It is designed to maximize unmatched protection for heavily loaded gears. It allows gears to run smoother, quieter, cooler and longer without overhaul.
Max-Gear is superior to other gear oils because it combines the highest quality synthetic oil with proprietary additive technology, Royal Purple's Synerlec. Hardeman Motorsport recommends this oil for use in gearboxes and differentials for the highest durability.
The 75W90 is somewhat thinner than 75W140, so the 75W140 can withstand higher temperatures. The 75W90 provides slightly higher efficiency because it is thinner. Typically, we use 75W90 in:
- Gearboxes (possibly with limited slip)
- Open differentials
- transfer cases
- PTOs
- for differentials
75W140 we recommend in most limited slip differentials.
