Description
In order to transport the air to the brake ventilation outlet, a suitable inlet is essential. The M3/M4 does not have any intake ducts in the front bumper ex works like the M2 Competition. What your car does have, however, are 2 radiators behind the bumper on the side! So why not use the existing air flow efficiently?
In order to prevent the air from randomly swirling in the wheel arch after the coolers, we have developed a guide channel that can be installed with minimal effort and guides the air around the wheel and connects a connection to the outlet via a 40 cm long hose (per side). Our tests have shown that this does not create significant back pressure behind the radiator and in the event of extreme speeds and increasing pressure, the channels do not present any obstacles to the escaping air behind the radiator.
This article is available also in a kit with the appropriate outlets in the shop.
IMPORTANT: The different models vary slightly in the wheel position, coupled with different chassis geometries and wheel and tire combinations, it becomes impossible for us to cover all variants. In the worst case, the wheel could rest slightly at full steering angle (which should only be the case when parking), which could not cause any damage to the tire. In this case, we were asked to forgo the last ? of the steering turns.
