We developed this plate because the covers with cooling fins (33117516280) for these differentials are no longer available from BMW. We have changed the design and made a plate that fits between the cover and the differential.
We can achieve the following benefits with this:
- More oil capacity (+0.08 liters)
- Equipped with a tap plug so that you can easily change the differential oil
- Cooling fins that provide active passive cooling of the differential oil
- Oil splash collection remains original so that there is no chance of foaming oil.
This plate does not fit between the original cover and the differential, but only in combination with an E60 188L cover. See recommended articles.

- Intermediate plate with cooling fins
- Bolt with copper ring as tap plug
- 8x longer bolts for attaching the cover to the differential.
