N39S
N39S shares many features with N35S, but has a step higher initial bite and better performance while modulation is still very good. This compound also gives a faster response and builds up friction exceptionally well from cold temperatures. N39S has excellent
temperature resistance and will exhibit low brake pad wear.
Specifications
Friction: 0.42-0.52 µ
Heat levels: 0-850°C
Blocks made for pure track use but due to the high temperature use also fine for street use.
Breaking-in process:
Make 10x hard stops from 100km/h to standstill and accelerate quickly to 100km/h again.
The brakes must reach a temperature of 350 degrees in the discs or more to complete the process, otherwise more stops are needed.
If this is not possible, 3 laps at about 80% pace on the track can also suffice, then check the temperature of the discs.
Only after the running-in procedure can the blocks provide the optimal performance.
These brake pads can squeak (to counteract this, the edges of the pads can be rounded off).
When applied to used discs, we recommend first inspecting them for problems and then coarse sanding (80-120 grit sandpaper) to remove old brake pad residue.
