This thrust bearing is a bit longer (6mm) than most thrust bearings for this type of clutches, as used for example on the E30 325i and E36 325i. It is about the 10-spline transmissions like E30/E36 325i (not E46 M3 big 10-spline).
It is ideal to raise the lever/gaff of the gearbox a bit if the flywheel/clutch set combination comes out a bit too low. For example, this can be the case if you go from dual-mass to single-mass and the flywheel and/or clutch set is a bit flatter than original.
Length is 31mm from lever start (protruding ears) to bottom of thrust bearing, where the shorter type is 25mm. Second photo is for comparison with a normal BMW E30/E36 325i thrust bearing.
